Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Oil & Gas and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.03%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 3.35% or 0.0960 points to trade at 2.9640 at the close. Meanwhile, Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) added 1.42% or 0.47 points to end at 33.54 and Fortum Oyj (HE:FUM1V) was up 0.87% or 0.12 points to 13.98 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV), which fell 2.32% or 0.220 points to trade at 9.250 at the close. Kemira Oyj (HE:KRA1V) declined 1.83% or 0.21 points to end at 11.27 and Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) was down 1.77% or 0.60 points to 33.31.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 109 to 72 and 3 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for January delivery was down 0.19% or 0.09 to $44.05 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 1.00% or 0.42 to hit $41.53 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 1.18% or 12.60 to trade at $1081.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.74% to 1.0739, while EUR/GBP rose 0.23% to 0.7015.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.68% at 98.98.
