Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Retail, Household and Construction sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite fell 0.30%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr), which rose 9.66% or 0.0140 points to trade at 0.1590 at the close. Athens Medical (AT:AMCr) added 7.37% or 0.048 points to end at 0.699 and Autohellas (AT:AUTr) was up 4.08% or 0.50 points to 12.75 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Folli Follie (AT:HDFr), which lost 5.02% or 1.10 points to trade at 20.82 in late trade. Flexopack SA (AT:FLXr) declined 4.36% or 0.1200 points to end at 2.6300 and Select Textile (AT:EPIr) shed 4.29% or 0.006 points to 0.134.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 58 to 38 and 16 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was down 0.65% or 8.55 to $1299.65 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.28% or 0.58 to hit $44.76 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.81% or 0.38 to trade at $46.48 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.04% to 1.1094, while EUR/GBP fell 1.25% to 0.8909.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.13% at 97.26.
