Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Basic Materials and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.99%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV), which rose 3.65% or 1.58 points to trade at 44.88 at the close. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) added 3.03% or 0.2500 points to end at 8.5000 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) was up 2.46% or 0.130 points to 5.405 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which lost 1.56% or 0.67 points to trade at 42.19 in late trade. YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) declined 1.37% or 0.11 points to end at 7.91 and Fortum Oyj (HE:FUM1V) shed 0.86% or 0.13 points to 15.02.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 77 to 63 and 14 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for March delivery was up 0.80% or 0.44 to $55.67 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 1.31% or 0.69 to hit $53.44 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.19% or 2.25 to trade at $1213.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.06% to 1.0760, while EUR/GBP fell 0.05% to 0.8584.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.06% at 100.01.
