Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Chemicals, Utilities and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 rose 3.24%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Salvatore Ferragamo (MILAN:SFER), which rose 6.10% or 1.36 points to trade at 23.66 at the close. Meanwhile, Luxottica Group (MILAN:LUX) added 5.70% or 3.30 points to end at 61.15 and Yoox (MILAN:YOOX) was up 5.15% or 1.33 points to 27.18 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Saipem (MILAN:SPMI), which fell 0.34% or 0.0250 points to trade at 7.3800 at the close. Pirelli & C (MILAN:PECI) added 0.13% or 0.0200 points to end at 15.0000 and World Duty Free SpA (MILAN:WDF) was up 0.20% or 0.020 points to 10.240.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 373 to 71 and 4 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.96% or 0.43 to $45.34 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.03% or 0.01 to hit $48.19 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.76% or 8.80 to trade at $1145.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.35% to 1.1193, while EUR/GBP rose 0.18% to 0.7379.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.34% at 96.43.
