Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financials, Services and Public Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 0.02%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1), which rose 1.95% or 560.0 points to trade at 29280.0 at the close. Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC) added 1.67% or 0.4 points to end at 24.4 and Grupoaval (CN:GAA) was up 1.30% or 15.0 points to 1165.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which lost 1.84% or 25.0 points to trade at 1335.0 in late trade. Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p) declined 1.28% or 140.0 points to end at 10840.0 and Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) shed 1.13% or 30.0 points to 2630.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 13 to 13 and 4 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for July delivery was down 0.11% or 0.15 to $136.17 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in July fell 0.86% or 15.50 to hit $1796.00 , while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.22% or 2.71 to trade at $1258.21 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.12% to 2944.98, while BRL/COP rose 0.80% to 933.45.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.15% at 98.83.
