Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Telecoms, Technology and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.58% to hit a new 52-week high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson B (ST:ERICb), which rose 2.75% or 1.57 points to trade at 58.67 at the close. Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) added 1.96% or 1.75 points to end at 90.95 and Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb) was up 1.71% or 2.50 points to 148.90 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which lost 2.89% or 1.02 points to trade at 34.25 in late trade. Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:ALIVsdb) declined 1.92% or 17.0 points to end at 869.5 and SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) shed 1.58% or 0.61 points to 38.01.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 388 to 330 and 73 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.92% or 0.45 to $48.39 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.80% or 0.41 to hit $51.11 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.08% or 1.06 to trade at $1256.56 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.13% to 9.6334, while USD/SEK fell 0.21% to 8.8313.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 98.97.
