Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Chemicals and Food sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 lost 5.87% to hit a new all time low.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were TVN SA (WA:TVN), which fell 1.30% or 0.25 points to trade at 19.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Asseco Poland SA (WA:ACPP) fell 1.95% or 1.05 points to end at 52.70 and Bank Polska Kasa Opieki SA (WA:PEO) was down 2.19% or 3.50 points to 156.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lubelski Wegiel Bogdanka SA (WA:LWBP), which fell 29.66% or 15.76 points to trade at 37.37 at the close. KGHM Polska Miedz SA (WA:KGH) declined 12.76% or 10.69 points to end at 73.11 and Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP) was down 11.71% or 9.81 points to 74.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 577 to 61 and 73 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for October delivery was down 4.25% or 1.72 to $38.73 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 4.63% or 2.10 to hit $43.35 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.09% or 1.10 to trade at $1158.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.33% to 4.2400, while USD/PLN fell 1.39% to 3.6626.
The US Dollar Index was down 1.38% at 93.53.
