Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms, Technology Hardware & Equipment and Support Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX lost 2.15% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Boskalis Westmin (AMS:BOSN), which rose 8.79% or 3.87 points to trade at 47.83 at the close. Meanwhile, Ahold Kon (AMS:AHLN) added 2.09% or 0.36 points to end at 17.86 and ArcelorMittal SA (AMS:ISPA) was unchanged 0.01% or 0.00 points to 7.68 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Delta Lloyd (AMS:DLL), which fell 3.96% or 0.43 points to trade at 10.56 at the close. DSM Kon (AMS:DSMN) declined 3.94% or 1.98 points to end at 48.30 and ING Groep (AMS:ING) was down 3.87% or 0.550 points to 13.660.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 183 to 36.
Shares in Delta Lloyd (AMS:DLL) fell to 3-years lows; falling 3.96% or 0.43 to 10.56.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was up 6.74% to 24.05 a new 1-month high.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.29% or 0.12 to $41.39 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.52% or 0.24 to hit $46.91 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 2.10% or 23.70 to trade at $1151.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.75% to 1.1202, while EUR/GBP rose 0.75% to 0.7144.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.48% at 95.96.
