Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Telecoms, Leasing & Factoring and Holdings & Investments sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.23%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Celebi (IS:CLEBI), which rose 4.79% or 0.91 points to trade at 19.91 at the close. Ege Endustri (IS:EGEEN) added 2.69% or 5.40 points to end at 205.90 and Aksa (IS:AKSA) was up 2.45% or 0.22 points to 9.19 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Metro Holding (IS:METRO), which lost 4.90% or 0.050 points to trade at 0.970 in late trade. Vestel Beyaz Esya (IS:VESBE) declined 2.74% or 0.310 points to end at 11.020 and Aselsan (IS:ASELS) shed 1.86% or 0.21 points to 11.09.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 187 to 156 and 66 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was down 0.40% or 4.70 to $1184.60 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 2.50% or 1.20 to hit $46.76 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 2.51% or 1.23 to trade at $47.77 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.01% to 3.4455, while EUR/TRY rose 0.44% to 3.6547.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.32% at 101.44.
