Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Transport, Real Estate Development and Hotels & Tourism sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share rose 1.61%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Arabian Shield Coop Insurance Co (SE:8070), which rose 10.25% or 2.50 points to trade at 26.90 at the close. Alujain Corporation (SE:2170) added 7.34% or 1.20 points to end at 17.55 and Aldrees Petroleum & Transport Svcs (SE:4200) was up 7.23% or 2.40 points to 35.60 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Solidarity Saudi Takaful Co (SE:8290), which lost 6.98% or 0.60 points to trade at 8.00 in late trade. Anb Insurance (SE:8011) declined 6.25% or 1.30 points to end at 19.50 and Gulf Union Cooperative Insurance (SE:8120) shed 5.94% or 0.60 points to 9.50.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 129 to 32 and 8 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.77% or 0.37 to $47.87 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.35% or 0.17 to hit $48.73 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.47% or 5.65 to trade at $1215.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.09% to 3.9829, while USD/SAR fell 0.01% to 3.7506.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.13% at 101.07.
