Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Mining, Non-Metal Minerals and S&P Lima Juniors sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General lost 0.75%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Relapasa (LM:REL), which rose 5.46% or 0.012 points to trade at 0.232 at the close. Ferreyros (LM:FER) added 2.48% or 0.040 points to end at 1.650 and Luz Del Sur (LM:LUZ) was up 1.74% or 0.200 points to 11.700 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb), which lost 4.48% or 0.030 points to trade at 0.640 in late trade. Panoro (LM:PML) declined 4.14% or 0.006 points to end at 0.139 and Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) shed 3.85% or 0.020 points to 0.500.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 15 to 10 and 11 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 5.49% or 2.38 to $45.70 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 5.51% or 2.45 to hit $46.88 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.55% or 6.75 to trade at $1228.45 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.42% to 3.4185, while EUR/PEN rose 1.30% to 3.7000.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.16% at 100.19.
