Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Industrials and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.59%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V), which rose 4.08% or 1.57 points to trade at 40.07 at the close. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) added 2.43% or 0.1450 points to end at 6.1150 and Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V) was up 1.32% or 0.41 points to 31.54 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS), which lost 0.40% or 0.11 points to trade at 27.22 in late trade. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) declined 0.28% or 0.012 points to end at 4.276 and Fortum Oyj (HE:FUM1V) shed 0.21% or 0.03 points to 14.38.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 100 to 79 and 14 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was up 0.42% or 0.21 to $50.02 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.56% or 0.27 to hit $48.10 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.32% or 4.25 to trade at $1321.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.19% to 1.1240, while EUR/GBP fell 0.06% to 0.8648.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.13% at 95.31.
