Investing.com – Philippines stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Mining & Oil, Industrials and Property sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite added 0.48%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Petron (PS:PCOR), which rose 10.49% or 0.850 points to trade at 8.990 at the close. Meanwhile, Semirara Minin (PS:SCC) added 8.05% or 9.5000 points to end at 127.5000 and Dmci Holdings (PS:DMC) was up 6.25% or 0.740 points to 12.500 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bloomberry Res (PS:BLOOM), which fell 1.70% or 0.160 points to trade at 9.280 at the close. Gt Capital Hol (PS:GTCAP) declined 1.30% or 18.000 points to end at 1370.000 and Megaworld Corp (PS:MEG) was down 1.26% or 0.060 points to 4.680.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 120 to 74 and 13 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was up 0.74% or 8.20 to $1112.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.07% or 0.03 to hit $44.93 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.11% or 0.06 to trade at $51.08 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was down 1.45% to 7.2707, while USD/PHP rose 0.41% to 46.000.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.13% at 97.10.
