Investing.com – Denmark equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Chemicals, Healthcare and Personal & Household Goods sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 fell 0.35%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were A.P. Moller - Maersk A (CO:MAERSKa), which rose 1.96% or 160 points to trade at 8325 at the close. A.P. Moller - Maersk B (CO:MAERSKb) added 1.65% or 140 points to end at 8650 and Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO:VWS) was up 0.66% or 3.0 points to 460.6 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Lundbeck A/S (CO:LUN), which lost 1.97% or 5.4 points to trade at 269.2 in late trade. Genmab (CO:GEN) declined 1.40% or 17.0 points to end at 1193.0 and William Demant Holding AS (CO:WDH) shed 1.02% or 1.4 points to 135.4.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 80 to 62 and 17 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 2.40% or 1.03 to $41.89 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 2.59% or 1.17 to hit $44.06 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.43% or 5.65 to trade at $1333.95 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.06% to 6.7683, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.00% to 7.4398.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.13% at 97.30.
