Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Investment and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 0.88% to hit a new 3-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU), which rose 19.18% or 610.0 points to trade at 3790.0 at the close. Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH) added 2.99% or 320.0 points to end at 11040.0 and Grupo Nutresa SA (CN:NCH) was up 2.80% or 680.0 points to 24940.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which lost 5.47% or 110.0 points to trade at 1900.0 in late trade. Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC) declined 2.75% or 0.5 points to end at 17.7 and Corp Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV) shed 1.05% or 400.0 points to 37600.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 20 to 8 and 3 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for May delivery was down 0.35% or 0.40 to $114.85 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in May unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $2930.50 , while the April Gold contract rose 0.18% or 2.20 to trade at $1236.60 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.47% to 3275.50, while BRL/COP rose 1.35% to 830.46.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.09% at 98.37.
