Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Industrials, Investment and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP lost 0.54%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Bcolombia (CN:BIC), which rose 0.86% or 200.0 points to trade at 23500.0 at the close. Interconexion Electrica SA (CN:ISA) added 0.13% or 10.0 points to end at 7900.0 and Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO) was unchanged 0.00% or 0.0 points to 56740.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p), which lost 2.25% or 220.0 points to trade at 9560.0 in late trade. Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) declined 1.72% or 20.0 points to end at 1145.0 and Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) shed 1.55% or 110.0 points to 6990.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 20 to 5 and 6 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for May delivery was down 0.94% or 1.13 to $119.40 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in May rose 0.52% or 15.00 to hit $2901.50 , while the April Gold contract rose 1.22% or 14.80 to trade at $1224.90 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.50% to 3325.00, while BRL/COP rose 0.04% to 838.71.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.09% at 97.47.
