Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Financials and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 3.85%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which rose 10.26% or 38.70 points to trade at 415.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Boliden AB (ST:BOL) added 7.16% or 8.00 points to end at 119.80 and Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa) was up 5.28% or 8.1 points to 161.6 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA), which rose 1.03% or 0.51 points to trade at 50.00 at the close. Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) added 1.65% or 2.2 points to end at 135.7 and SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) was up 2.12% or 0.46 points to 22.14.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 425 to 120 and 32 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.85% or 0.25 to $29.69 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.27% or 0.09 to hit $33.45 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 2.57% or 31.90 to trade at $1207.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.15% to 9.4741, while USD/SEK rose 1.18% to 8.5026.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.88% at 96.83.
