Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Mining, Banking & Financials and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 0.87%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Milpo (LM:MIL), which rose 6.67% or 0.100 points to trade at 1.600 at the close. Meanwhile, Trevali Mining (LM:TV) added 5.97% or 0.020 points to end at 0.355 and Cerro Verde (LM:CVE) was up 2.84% or 0.400 points to 14.500 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sider (LM:SID), which fell 12.04% or 0.013 points to trade at 0.095 at the close. Panoro (LM:PML) declined 9.09% or 0.008 points to end at 0.080 and Atacocha (LM:ATB) was down 4.76% or 0.005 points to 0.100.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 11 to 11 and 8 ended unchanged.
Shares in Sider (LM:SID) fell to all time lows; down 12.04% or 0.013 to 0.095.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 2.81% or 1.03 to $37.84 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 3.06% or 1.12 to hit $37.74 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.01% or 0.10 to trade at $1068.20 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.33% to 3.4075, while EUR/PEN rose 0.18% to 3.7253.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.25% at 98.23.
