Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Telecoms and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.12%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 3.83% or 0.126 points to trade at 3.416 at the close. Meanwhile, Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) added 1.64% or 0.0420 points to end at 2.6100 and YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) was up 1.54% or 0.08 points to 5.08 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V), which fell 1.77% or 0.58 points to trade at 32.11 at the close. Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) declined 0.81% or 0.25 points to end at 30.70 and Elisa Oyj (HE:ELI1V) was down 0.80% or 0.27 points to 33.65.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 110 to 73 and 5 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for February delivery was down 0.21% or 0.07 to $36.27 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 1.14% or 0.41 to hit $36.22 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.67% or 7.20 to trade at $1073.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.48% to 1.0967, while EUR/GBP rose 0.99% to 0.7406.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.30% at 98.14.
