Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Trading, Land & Property and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share gained 0.36%.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were PC House PLC (CM:PCHO), which rose 50.00% or 0.100 points to trade at 0.200 at the close. Meanwhile, Bogawantalawa Tea Estates PLC (CM:BOPL) added 21.15% or 2.20 points to end at 12.60 and Arpico Finance Company PLC (CM:ARPI) was up 15.19% or 32.70 points to 248.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ceylon Printers PLC (CM:CPRT), which fell 24.96% or 462.10 points to trade at 1389.00 at the close. Office Equipment PLC (CM:OFEQ) declined 19.98% or 499.40 points to end at 2000.00 and PC Pharma PLC (CM:PCPH) was down 16.67% or 0.10 points to 0.60.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 139 to 59 and 23 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.13% or 0.04 to $34.91 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.59% or 0.22 to hit $37.28 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.55% or 5.80 to trade at $1055.40 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was down 0.03% to 214.040, while USD/LKR rose 0.05% to 143.570.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.21% at 98.99.
