Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Real Estate Development, Energy & Utilities and Insurance sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share added 1.00%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Jabal Omar Development Company (SE:4250), which rose 6.93% or 4.00 points to trade at 61.75 at the close. The Company for Coop. Insurance (SE:8010) added 6.12% or 5.25 points to end at 91.00 and AXA Cooperative Insurance Company (SE:8250) was up 5.67% or 0.85 points to 15.85 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sahara (SE:2260), which lost 4.48% or 0.50 points to trade at 10.65 in late trade. Mobile Telecommunications Company (SE:7030) declined 4.24% or 0.35 points to end at 7.90 and Saudi Cable Company (SE:2110) shed 3.33% or 0.25 points to 7.25.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 126 to 25 and 18 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 2.16% or 1.05 to $49.67 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 1.91% or 0.95 to hit $50.59 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.48% or 5.95 to trade at $1248.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.02% to 4.2637, while USD/SAR fell 0.01% to 3.7500.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.03% at 93.93.
