Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.41%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which rose 2.68% or 1.06 points to trade at 40.67 at the close. Meanwhile, ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb) added 2.50% or 4.1 points to end at 168.2 and Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) was up 2.02% or 2.40 points to 121.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Telefonaktiebolaget L M Ericsson B (ST:ERICb), which fell 1.14% or 1.05 points to trade at 90.75 at the close. Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) declined 1.00% or 2.5 points to end at 246.7 and Svenska Handelsbanken ser. A (ST:SHBa) was down 0.91% or 1.2 points to 131.1.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 278 to 153 and 5 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.58% or 0.75 to $48.14 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.38% or 0.20 to hit $53.67 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.18% or 2.00 to trade at $1094.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.29% to 9.4680, while USD/SEK rose 0.65% to 8.5660.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.16% at 96.79.
