Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Financials and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.11%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIBs), which rose 6.42% or 12.1 points to trade at 200.6 at the close. Meanwhile, Modern Times Group MTG AB ser. B (ST:MTGBs) added 2.44% or 5.5 points to end at 230.6 and AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) was up 1.34% or 7.0 points to 530.5 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ABB Ltd (ST:ABB), which fell 1.92% or 3.1 points to trade at 158.4 at the close. SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) declined 0.97% or 0.33 points to end at 33.83 and Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) was down 0.75% or 0.60 points to 79.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 221 to 214 and 7 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 4.14% or 1.88 to $43.53 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 3.12% or 1.54 to hit $48.02 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.43% or 4.90 to trade at $1134.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.64% to 9.4689, while USD/SEK fell 0.02% to 8.4203.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.42% at 95.79.
