SYDNEY, Dec 5 (Reuters) - Australian government spending for consumption rose 0.2 percent in the third quarter to an inflation-adjusted A$81.68 billion ($62.19 billion), the Australian Bureau of Statistics reported on Tuesday.
Investment spending by the government and public enterprises fell 7.5 percent to A$22.15 billion, reversing part of a sharp jump the previous quarter.
The data will feed into the gross domestic product (GDP) report for the September quarter due on Wednesday. ($1 = 1.3134 Australian dollars)
