Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Healthcare and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.07%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 5.04% or 0.2400 points to trade at 5.0000 at the close. Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V) added 3.62% or 0.95 points to end at 27.22 and YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) was up 2.60% or 0.17 points to 6.91 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which lost 8.54% or 0.420 points to trade at 4.500 in late trade. Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) declined 3.38% or 0.91 points to end at 26.00 and Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) shed 1.72% or 0.57 points to 32.58.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 100 to 74 and 17 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for October delivery was down 2.30% or 1.04 to $44.19 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 2.07% or 0.89 to hit $42.03 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.37% or 4.95 to trade at $1333.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.06% to 1.0992, while EUR/GBP rose 0.13% to 0.8382.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.14% at 97.31.
