Investing.com – Denmark equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Chemicals, Healthcare and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 fell 0.57%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were A.P. Moller - Maersk A (CO:MAERSKa), which rose 1.74% or 165 points to trade at 9675 at the close. A.P. Moller - Maersk B (CO:MAERSKb) added 1.45% or 145 points to end at 10120 and FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS) was up 1.42% or 3.5 points to 249.7 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Novo Nordisk A/S B (CO:NOVOb), which lost 1.66% or 5.2 points to trade at 307.5 in late trade. William Demant Holding AS (CO:WDH) declined 1.58% or 2.2 points to end at 137.2 and Danske Bank A/S (CO:DANSKE) shed 1.38% or 2.7 points to 193.1.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 75 to 73 and 18 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 2.68% or 1.20 to $43.50 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 2.58% or 1.21 to hit $45.68 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.42% or 5.45 to trade at $1316.85 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.31% to 6.6492, while EUR/DKK fell 0.01% to 7.4415.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.32% at 95.70.
