Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Financials, Telecoms and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.31%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS), which rose 1.83% or 0.265 points to trade at 14.750 at the close. Semapa (LS:SEM) added 1.27% or 0.2150 points to end at 17.2000 and EDP (LS:EDP) was up 0.99% or 0.0290 points to 2.9610 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which lost 2.86% or 0.0074 points to trade at 0.2514 in late trade. Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) declined 1.74% or 0.0060 points to end at 0.3380 and Sonae (LS:YSO) shed 1.10% or 0.0110 points to 0.9850.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 18 to 16 and 9 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for September delivery was up 0.99% or 0.48 to $48.90 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.95% or 0.44 to hit $46.52 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.88% or 10.76 to trade at $1228.06 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.48% to 1.1453, while EUR/GBP fell 0.61% to 0.8755.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.57% at 95.02.
