Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Technology, Financials and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 0.74%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which rose 4.40% or 20.00 points to trade at 475.00 at the close. Meanwhile, ABB Ltd (ST:ABB) added 1.61% or 2.3 points to end at 144.8 and Atlas Copco AB ser. A (ST:ATCOa) was up 1.49% or 2.9 points to 197.7 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Telefonaktiebolaget L M Ericsson B (ST:ERICb), which fell 6.27% or 5.15 points to trade at 76.95 at the close. Nordea Bank AB (ST:NDA) declined 5.66% or 5.10 points to end at 84.95 and SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) was down 2.94% or 0.60 points to 19.84.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 310 to 250 and 19 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 2.93% or 0.92 to $32.37 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 3.90% or 1.27 to hit $33.84 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.33% or 3.70 to trade at $1116.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.28% to 9.2549, while USD/SEK fell 0.22% to 8.5177.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.10% at 99.17.
