Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Banking, Financials and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite fell 0.50%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Revoil Petrol (AT:REVr), which rose 8.33% or 0.025 points to trade at 0.325 at the close. FHL I Kiriakidis Marbles and Granites SA (AT:KRKr) added 7.40% or 0.310 points to end at 4.500 and Autohellas (AT:AUTr) was up 6.72% or 0.85 points to 13.65 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Piraeus Bank SA (AT:BOPr), which lost 6.75% or 0.011 points to trade at 0.152 in late trade. Centric Hold (AT:DESr) declined 6.67% or 0.007 points to end at 0.098 and Halcor (AT:XAKO) shed 5.95% or 0.033 points to 0.522.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 53 to 44 and 21 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.75% or 9.25 to $1243.25 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.96% or 0.47 to hit $48.44 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 0.68% or 0.35 to trade at $51.27 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.64% to 1.0808, while EUR/GBP fell 0.35% to 0.8660.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.59% at 99.57.
