Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Materials, Media and Auto & components sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 0.25%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (OL:REC), which rose 5.98% or 0.07 points to trade at 1.24 at the close. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) added 3.09% or 0.77 points to end at 25.65 and Bw Lpg (OL:BWLPG) was up 2.46% or 1.35 points to 56.29 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which lost 9.47% or 3.3 points to trade at 31.8 in late trade. Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) declined 3.80% or 1.35 points to end at 34.15 and DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) shed 1.57% or 0.11 points to 6.90.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 87 to 79 and 23 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was down 1.70% or 0.65 to $37.64 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 2.31% or 0.95 to hit $40.12 a barrel, while the April Gold contract rose 0.92% or 11.60 to trade at $1269.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 1.54% to 9.5197, while USD/NOK rose 0.21% to 8.5389.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.85% at 96.36.
