Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Energy, Banking and Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 3.00%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS), which rose 5.38% or 0.4 points to trade at 8.4 at the close. Opera Software ASA (OL:OPERA) fell 0.08% or 0.05 points to end at 65.95 and Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) was down 0.09% or 0.2 points to 224.1 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which lost 11.73% or 2.92 points to trade at 21.98 in late trade. Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) declined 10.11% or 2.9 points to end at 25.5 and Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE) shed 9.38% or 2.7 points to 26.1.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 141 to 34 and 20 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was down 3.17% or 1.25 to $38.14 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 2.74% or 1.12 to hit $39.75 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.56% or 6.90 to trade at $1228.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.49% to 9.4794, while USD/NOK rose 0.37% to 8.4639.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.09% at 95.90.
