Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Technology, Telecoms and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.08%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which rose 3.17% or 0.88 points to trade at 28.68 at the close. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) added 2.41% or 0.0780 points to end at 3.3200 and Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V) was up 1.60% or 0.130 points to 8.265 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which lost 7.19% or 0.360 points to trade at 4.650 in late trade. Valmt (HE:VALMT) declined 1.72% or 0.19 points to end at 10.83 and Elisa Oyj (HE:ELI1V) shed 0.50% or 0.16 points to 32.12.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 91 to 83 and 15 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for July delivery was up 3.83% or 1.67 to $45.30 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 2.42% or 1.05 to hit $44.49 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.37% or 4.65 to trade at $1261.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.03% to 1.1385, while EUR/GBP fell 0.24% to 0.7880.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.02% at 94.16.
