Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the S&P Lima Juniors, Mining and Food & Beverages sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 0.07%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Minsur (LM:MINi), which rose 7.14% or 0.050 points to trade at 0.750 at the close. Meanwhile, Trevali Mining (LM:TV) added 3.23% or 0.010 points to end at 0.320 and Backus Johnsto (LM:BKJi) was up 1.51% or 0.190 points to 12.790 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Casa Grande (LM:CSG), which fell 9.76% or 0.400 points to trade at 3.700 at the close. Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM) unchanged 0.00% or 0.000 points to end at 0.165 and Unacem (LM:CEL) was down 2.12% or 0.040 points to 1.850.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 8 to 7 and 12 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.44% or 0.65 to $45.55 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.55% or 0.27 to hit $48.44 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.72% or 8.30 to trade at $1145.50 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.33% to 3.2180, while EUR/PEN fell 0.89% to 3.5877.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.22% at 96.31.
