Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Banking, Financials and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite added 4.07%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Alpha Bank (AT:ACBr), which rose 25.00% or 0.023 points to trade at 0.115 at the close. Meanwhile, Bank Of Piraeus (AT:BOPr) added 24.64% or 0.017 points to end at 0.086 and National Bank of Greece (AT:NBGr) was up 23.61% or 0.09 points to 0.45 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr), which fell 9.68% or 0.027 points to trade at 0.279 at the close. Autohellas (AT:AUTr) declined 4.55% or 0.50 points to end at 11.00 and Quest Holdings (AT:IQTr) was down 4.49% or 0.17 points to 3.62.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 62 to 30 and 6 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.18% or 2.00 to $1134.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 2.09% or 0.95 to hit $46.49 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 2.69% or 1.29 to trade at $49.42 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.00% to 1.1211, while EUR/GBP rose 0.03% to 0.7386.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.01% at 96.03.
