Investing.com – Spain equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financial Services & Real Estate, Building & Construction and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 declined 0.05%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Indra A (MC:IDR), which rose 1.76% or 0.225 points to trade at 12.970 at the close. Acciona (MC:ANA) added 1.54% or 1.300 points to end at 85.870 and Endesa (MC:ELE) was up 1.29% or 0.285 points to 22.415 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Banco Popular (MC:POP), which lost 6.21% or 0.021 points to trade at 0.317 in late trade. ArcelorMittal SA (MC:MTS) declined 2.50% or 0.470 points to end at 18.340 and International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (MC:ICAG) shed 1.54% or 0.105 points to 6.710.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 109 to 64 and 13 ended unchanged on the Madrid Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was up 1.04% or 13.29 to $1295.99 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 1.03% or 0.49 to hit $47.89 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 0.67% or 0.33 to trade at $49.80 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.13% to 1.1270, while EUR/GBP rose 0.28% to 0.8744.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 96.57.
