Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Hotels & Tourism, Media & Publishing and Industrial Investment sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share lost 0.09%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Al Alamiya Cooperative Insurance (SE:8280), which rose 8.79% or 2.00 points to trade at 24.75 at the close. Al-Jouf Agriculture Development Co (SE:6070) added 7.79% or 2.50 points to end at 34.60 and Arabian Shield Coop Insurance Co (SE:8070) was up 6.79% or 1.90 points to 29.90 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Abdullah Al Othaim Markets Company (SE:4001), which lost 3.65% or 3.50 points to trade at 92.50 in late trade. Bupa Arabia for Coop. Insurance (SE:8210) declined 3.50% or 5.00 points to end at 138.00 and Saudi Company for Hardware (SE:4008) shed 2.70% or 2.25 points to 81.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 73 to 72 and 24 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.92% or 0.46 to $50.23 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 1.00% or 0.53 to hit $53.53 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.11% or 1.25 to trade at $1176.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.11% to 4.0367, while USD/SAR fell 0.02% to 3.7500.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.08% at 100.20.
