Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Technology, Telecoms and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.19%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V), which rose 2.16% or 0.86 points to trade at 40.63 at the close. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) added 1.89% or 0.095 points to end at 5.115 and YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) was up 1.59% or 0.12 points to 7.67 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS), which lost 1.95% or 0.49 points to trade at 24.67 in late trade. Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) declined 1.43% or 0.058 points to end at 4.002 and Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) shed 1.19% or 0.042 points to 3.500.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 104 to 76 and 15 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for February delivery was up 4.61% or 2.39 to $54.23 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 4.33% or 2.14 to hit $51.58 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.60% or 7.05 to trade at $1166.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.28% to 1.0621, while EUR/GBP fell 0.27% to 0.8444.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.30% at 101.33.
