Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Investment, Public Services and Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP lost 0.22%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI), which rose 1.69% or 280.0 points to trade at 16860.0 at the close. Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) added 1.04% or 15.0 points to end at 1460.0 and Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) was up 0.56% or 50.0 points to 9000.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which lost 2.26% or 50.0 points to trade at 2165.0 in late trade. Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) declined 1.84% or 360.0 points to end at 19240.0 and Cemargos (CN:CCB) shed 1.41% or 160.0 points to 11220.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 16 to 9 and 8 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for July delivery was down 3.22% or 4.05 to $121.67 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in July fell 0.67% or 21.50 to hit $3185.50 , while the June Gold contract rose 0.29% or 3.60 to trade at $1247.00 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.78% to 2932.50, while BRL/COP fell 0.69% to 832.01.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.03% at 94.48.
