Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Technology Hardware & Equipment and Auto & components sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 0.45% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which rose 3.05% or 9.7 points to trade at 328.0 at the close. Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) added 2.33% or 7.2 points to end at 316.2 and Orkla ASA (OL:ORK) was up 0.61% or 0.45 points to 74.55 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (OL:REC), which lost 5.05% or 0.07 points to trade at 1.32 in late trade. Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OL:DETNOR) declined 4.71% or 2.85 points to end at 57.65 and Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL) shed 4.14% or 1.10 points to 25.50.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 117 to 56 and 15 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.52% or 0.19 to $36.60 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 0.93% or 0.36 to hit $38.31 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.25% or 3.10 to trade at $1220.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.15% to 9.4629, while USD/NOK fell 0.09% to 8.3110.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.02% at 94.56.
