Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Financials and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 2.07%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Nordea Bank AB (ST:NDA), which rose 4.06% or 3.20 points to trade at 81.95 at the close. Meanwhile, Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken A (ST:SEBa) added 4.03% or 3.20 points to end at 82.60 and Hennes & Mauritz AB, H & M ser. B (ST:HMb) was up 3.29% or 8.7 points to 272.8 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE), which fell 1.16% or 1.40 points to trade at 118.90 at the close. Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) declined 0.14% or 0.10 points to end at 71.85 and SKF, AB ser. B (ST:SKFb) was up 0.07% or 0.1 points to 138.8.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 423 to 113 and 40 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.11% or 0.03 to $27.91 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 2.54% or 0.77 to hit $31.09 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 0.30% or 3.60 to trade at $1195.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.07% to 9.4967, while USD/SEK rose 0.46% to 8.4548.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.28% at 96.31.
