Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Industrials, Investment and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 0.65% to hit a new 6-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which rose 2.04% or 55.0 points to trade at 2750.0 at the close. Grupoaval (CN:GAA) added 1.31% or 15.0 points to end at 1160.0 and Pfgrupoarg (CN:ARG_p) was up 0.92% or 160.0 points to 17460.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which lost 3.20% or 340.0 points to trade at 10300.0 in late trade. Grupo Inversiones Suramericana (CN:SIS) declined 2.64% or 960.0 points to end at 35440.0 and Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) shed 2.33% or 30.0 points to 1255.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 16 to 13 and 5 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was down 2.62% or 4.11 to $152.82 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March rose 1.19% or 28.50 to hit $2427.00 , while the December Gold contract fell 0.28% or 3.30 to trade at $1187.50 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.35% to 3162.50, while BRL/COP fell 0.01% to 930.72.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.21% at 101.00.
