Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Construction & Building Materials, Transport and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares added 0.41%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Maroc Leasing (CS:MLE), which rose 5.40% or 20.00 points to trade at 390.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Lafarge Ciments (CS:LAC) added 2.74% or 48 points to end at 1798 and Ciments Du Maroc (CS:SCM) was up 2.40% or 30 points to 1280 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Residences Dar Saada SA (CS:RDS), which fell 5.00% or 7.90 points to trade at 158.00 at the close. Brasseries Du Maroc (CS:SBM) declined 3.65% or 73 points to end at 1927 and Afric Industries Sa (CS:AFIND) was down 3.45% or 11.50 points to 321.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 13 to 13 and 4 ended unchanged.
Shares in Maroc Leasing (CS:MLE) rose to 52-week highs; rising 5.40% or 20.00 to 390.00.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 5.75% or 2.60 to $47.82 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 4.93% or 2.46 to hit $52.52 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.03% or 0.30 to trade at $1133.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.18% to 10.8990, while USD/MAD fell 0.06% to 9.7193.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.04% at 96.11.
