Investing.com -- U.S. oil stockpiles unexpectedly rose in the latest week, the Energy Information Administration said on Wednesday.
Crude inventories rose 2.377 million barrels last week, compared with analysts' expectations for a draw of 0.728 million barrels.
Distillate stockpiles, which include diesel and heating oil, declined by 2.798 million barrels in the week against expectations for a draw of 1.260 million barrels, the EIA data showed.
Gasoline inventories rose 1.297 million barrels last week, the EIA said, compared with expectations for a build of 2.548 million barrels.
