DUBAI, March 29 (Reuters) - The lowest offer put forward at Egypt's state wheat purchasing tender was $217 a tonne, free-on-board (FOB), Cairo-based traders said on Thursday.
The offer was made by GTCS for 55,000 tonnes of Russian wheat, they said.
The General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC) is reviewing the offers and is due to issue a result later on Thursday.
Traders said the following offers were made in dollars per tonne on a FOB basis:
*Cargill: 60,000 tonnes of Romanian wheat at $221
*ADM: 60,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $219.5
*Solaris: 55,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $223.22 (Disqualified)
*Casillo: 60,000 tonnes of French wheat at $225.23
*Aston: 60,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $219.70
*Daewoo: 60,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $218.5
*Ameropa: 60,000 tonnes of Romanian wheat at $221.09, 60,000 tonnes of Romanian wheat at $222.59
*GTCS: 60,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $218, 60,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $220, 55,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $217
Traders also said the best cost and freight (C&F) offers in dollars a tonne were as following:
*GTCS: 55,000 tonnes Russian at $217 FOB and $17.12 freight equating to $234.12 C&F
*GTCS: 60,000 tonnes Russian at $218 FOB and $16.20 freight equating to $234.20 C&F
*Daewoo: 60,000 tonnes Russian at $218.50 FOB and $16.20 freight equating to $234.70 C&F
*ADM: 60,000 tonnes Russian at $219.50 FOB and $16.20 freight equating to $235.70 C&F
*Aston: 60,000 tonnes Russian at $219.70 FOB and $16.20 freight equating to $235.90 C&F
