SEOUL, July 11 (Reuters) - Korea Southern Power Co Ltd (KOSPO) bought a total of 290,000 tonnes of high calorific coal for September loading via a tender that closed on Monday, a source from the utility said on Tuesday.
The utility originally planned to buy a total of 435,000 tonnes of coal, but declined to purchase one 145,000-tonne cargo due to high prices, the source said.
