Investing.com – Colombia stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Industrials, Investment and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 0.72%.
The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which rose 2.06% or 120.0 points to trade at 5950.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) added 0.36% or 60.0 points to end at 16920.0 and Corp Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV) was up 0.70% or 260.0 points to 37460.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU), which fell 10.12% or 840.0 points to trade at 7460.0 at the close. Pfgrupoarg (CN:ARG_p) declined 3.00% or 500.0 points to end at 16140.0 and Grupo Inversiones Suramericana (CN:SIS) was down 1.79% or 660.0 points to 36280.0.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 21 to 7 and 2 ended unchanged.
US coffee C for September delivery was down 0.31% or 0.40 to $128.25 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in September fell 0.15% or 5.00 to hit $3350.00 , while the August Gold contract fell 0.98% or 11.20 to trade at $1132.70 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 1.33% to 2751.50, while BRL/COP rose 0.12% to 862.05.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.28% at 98.04.
