Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Technology and Software & Computer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 0.71%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novo Nordisk A/S B (CO:NOVOb), which rose 3.43% or 7.9 points to trade at 238.0 at the close. William Demant Holding AS (CO:WDH) added 2.41% or 2.8 points to end at 118.8 and Lundbeck A/S (CO:LUN) was up 1.21% or 3.2 points to 267.6 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Chr. Hansen Holding A/S (CO:CHRH), which lost 2.21% or 8.8 points to trade at 388.6 in late trade. Genmab (CO:GEN) declined 1.70% or 21.0 points to end at 1216.0 and Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO:VWS) shed 1.49% or 7.0 points to 463.2.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 72 to 72 and 18 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 8.60% or 3.89 to $49.12 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 9.02% or 4.27 to hit $51.59 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 1.26% or 14.95 to trade at $1175.85 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.54% to 7.0244, while EUR/DKK rose 0.00% to 7.4405.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.58% at 101.57.
