Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Utilities, Consumer Goods and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.01%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V), which rose 1.92% or 0.12 points to trade at 6.62 at the close. Kesko Oyj B (HE:KESBV) added 0.84% or 0.36 points to end at 43.39 and Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) was up 0.82% or 0.28 points to 34.30 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM), which lost 1.17% or 0.17 points to trade at 14.36 in late trade. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) declined 1.09% or 0.1000 points to end at 9.0950 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) shed 1.00% or 0.055 points to 5.435.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 77 to 56 and 20 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for May delivery was down 0.88% or 0.46 to $51.73 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.83% or 0.41 to hit $48.87 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.27% or 3.25 to trade at $1199.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.89% to 1.0670, while EUR/GBP rose 0.85% to 0.8767.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.56% at 101.41.
