SYDNEY, June 7 (Reuters) - Iron ore shipments to China from Australia's Port Hedland terminal, used by BHP Billiton (LON:BLT) BHP.AX and Fortescue Metals Group FMG.AX , rose to a record 38 million tonnes in May from 34.86 million in April, port data released on Wednesday showed.
Overall iron ore shipments from the world's biggest export terminal for the raw material increased to 44.08 million tonnes in May from 42.29 million in April, according to the Pilbara Ports Authority.
