Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Real Estate, Biomed and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 gained 0.64%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Israel Corp (TA:ILCO), which rose 3.66% or 2430 points to trade at 68800 at the close. Meanwhile, Azrieli Group (TA:AZRG) added 2.64% or 370 points to end at 14370 and ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) was up 2.56% or 40 points to 1601 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which fell 1.26% or 49 points to trade at 3837 at the close. Osem (TA:OSEM) declined 1.14% or 69 points to end at 5970 and First International Bank of Israel (TA:FTIN) was down 0.94% or 42 points to 4414.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 189 to 156 and 110 ended unchanged.
Shares in Osem (TA:OSEM) fell to 3-years lows; down 1.14% or 69 to 5970. Shares in First International Bank of Israel (TA:FTIN) fell to 3-years lows; losing 0.94% or 42 to 4414.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 4.21% or 1.52 to $37.66 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 3.00% or 1.08 to hit $37.20 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.48% or 5.20 to trade at $1068.90 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.02% to 3.8908, while EUR/ILS fell 0.75% to 4.2320.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.37% at 98.58.
